Andre the Pygmy hedgehog has arrived!
Hi, sorry about a delay in posts but I have been so busy this last 2 weeks with the fairs, getting last minute orders out and prearing for my wonderful new pet's arrival. We've named him Andre and he arrived on Sunday, having travelled from Hartlepool in the snow! (Well not actually in the snow, he was snuggled up in his box). He seems to be settling in quite well and in between sleeping is coming out for cuddles :o) Here's a picture of him in his play tunnel, he's coming up to 7 weeks old.

Mulled Wine hand made Charm bracelet style watch
I was commissioned to make this watch, the customer wanted something warm and almost plum like. Its made with sterling silver chain and Silver charms and lots and lots of crystals and beads. I finished it off with a black stain bow. I love this bracelet so much and it reminds me that I must make one for myself some time!
As soon as I made it I knew what it had to be named... Mulled Wine of course!
By the way I had a great time at the Skunk Anansie gig on Tuesday. Mark has blogged about it if you're interested. Just click here.

Spoilt Rotten!
It's my birthday today, last night I went for a lovely meal with some friends and mark and today Mark took me on a shopping trip in Manchester town centre. Mark wasn't sure what i wanted and wanted me to pick something I really like.
I love Vivienne Westwood jewellery but have never been lucky enough to own any. We went to The Vivienne Westwood store on King Street and I gasped in awe at all the beautiful jewellery in there. A very helpful assistant helped me choose which necklace I liked best and I settled on this stunning Sterling silver locket style Vivienne Westwood orb. It's beautiful, Mark always feels a bit nervous buying me jewellery I think, because I make my own he finds it hard to find something that I really like, but I'm in love with this so thanks Mark!
We are going to see Old school Brit pop band skunk anansie tonight at the Manchester Acadamy. Mark also managed to get hold of some Yeah Yeah Yeah tickets for next Sunday, I really can't wait for that one!
This Sterling silver and Swarovski crystals Locket opens up revealing heart shaped inscription in French "+ qu'hier -que demain" meaning: (I love you) more than yesterday less than tomorrow.

New Shoes... with a difference!
I had to show you this wonderful gift I received. My Mum and Dad came over to manchester yesterday to check out the Manchester Christmas Markets and drop off my presents for my birthday tomorrow. They made me open this one early as they 'wanted to see my face!' At first glance you may think 'Oh what a beautiful shoe!' But if you look closely you will see that it is actually made of chocolate! How wonderful is that? It sure does smell good but it would be such a shame to eat it!
Please don't forget to get your entry in for the White Rabbit pendant competition which will be drawn at 5pm later today! Good luck to those of you that have already entered!

Pygmy Hedgehog update!
You may remember me mentioning the cute Pygmy hedgehogs in a previous post and the fact that Mark and I are getting one. Well I have news. I have been given an update from the breeder who has just had a litter of the little cuties. They are over 2 weeks old and about the size of an AA battery. Here are some cute pics to coo over in the mean time.
Andy who has been breeding Pygmy Hedgehogs for four years says my little boy should be ready around Christmas time. If you are interested in owning a little hedgehog Andy has three left looking for a new home from this litter. Email him at andy.breed69@googlemail.com or call 07599454844.

'Gothia' my new Gothic and vintage style artisian necklace
I was determined to make something truly Gothic looking and different from my recent pieces. Hopefully I have succeeded!
I started by Aging a strip of sterling silver and then I twisted the wire and hammered to give a lovely old feel. Next I added this fantastic skull and cross bones charm, oxidised sterling silver butterfly, black roses and vintage key. Of course I also added my signature touch of black satin ribbon.
You can find out how to purchase this and other pieces by clicking here!

Each piece has been lovingly hand attached to the chain, the centre piece comprising of a beautiful fully functioning locket adorned with a black and white illustration of Alice and the pig baby. Are these just the cutest thing ever??- African Pygmy Hedgehogs!
I can't believe how cute these little things are. Tiny Hedgehogs originally from Africa are now becoming the latest must have pet! I didn't know anything about them until earlier in the week when I spotted a newspaper article about them.
However if you are thinking about owning a Pygmy hedgehog please do your research carefully. There have been a lot of articles recently about them and some people just don't realise the work involved. I have joined a forum called Pygmy Hogs UK for extra help and support.
After researching and looking into them a little bit more, Mark and me have decided we would like to give one a home. We have found a reputable breeder who has just had a litter and has another on the way and we have been put on the waiting list. We have been thinking about getting a pet for a long time, but thought it would be unfair to get a dog or cat due to us living in a 10th floor apartment a APH (African Pygmy Hedgehog) seems like the perfect pet as while we are at work he will be sleeping and should be up ready to play in the evening.

Cherished trinkets is featured In Make Jewellery Magazine!
I love being featured in magazines, its such an honour to be asked to share my work with others! I was lucky enough to be asked to be featured in Make Jewellery magazine and of course I jumped at the chance. The feature is about Vintage jewellery designers and it shows some lovely work from other creative vintage jewellery designers too. The 7th issue is out today and is really worth the buy as it also includes some fabulous design ideas and has a very modern and fresh approach to jewellery design. You can find a copy at your local W H Smiths.
